About Me
Mariel Nasis-Matuza is a mom of 4 sons first and a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner second. Specializing in pediatric medicine for nearly two decades, she started her nursing career at Winthrop Hospital on Long Island, NY (now NYU Langone) in both the pediatric intensive care unit and on the pediatric floor. She later earned her master’s degree at State University Stony Brook and now specializes in functional and integrative medicine with a holistic approach. Her private practice serves families from Montauk to Manhattan as well as numerous other states. Mariel loves children and often quotes Whitney Houston. Mariel believes “children are our future… teach them well,” feed them well, and let them lead the way! Mariel is dedicated to helping children not only grow but thrive so they can reach their full potential while educating and empowering parents, meeting families where ever they are on their health journeys.

About our Practice
Our Goal
The restoration and maintenance
of optimal health and wellness!
Our Philosophy
At Integrative Pediatrics, children receive the personal attention and individualized care they deserve. While prescription medication may be the last resort in some cases, parents will learn about safe, natural remedies for their children’s health concerns like allergies and constipation as well as mental health issues including anxiety and ADHD. Encouraging confidence in all caregivers, Mariel strives to empower parents through
education and advocacy, sharing her knowledge and expertise. As a supporter of many of the teachings of the Weston A. Price Foundation, she is committed to bringing nutrient-dense food back to more children and their families! As Hippocrates once said: “Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food.”
